Man dead from motorcycle crash at Poole Road and South New Hope Road intersection in Raleigh :: WRAL.com
A man is dead after a motorcycle crash occurred at the intersection of Poole Road and South New Hope Road Friday evening.
Raleigh Police said 44-year-old Bobby Edwards Jr. was the motorcyclist who was thrown from his bike after failing to fully stop at a red light.
A truck pulling a trailer loaded with wood was driving east on Poole Road and Edwards was traveling on South New Hope Road onto westbound Poole Road. When he turned left to enter the intersection, he was struck by the trailer and thrown from his motorcycle.
Raleigh Police were called to the intersection shortly after 7:00p.m.
Edwards was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No charges have been filed at this time. Police said this case remains under investigation.
