Identity released of man who died in motorcycle crash on US-6 east of Eureka

The motorcyclist who died in a crash on US-6, two miles east of Eureka, has been identified.

Robert Taylor Anderson, 34, of West Valley City, was traveling too fast and veered into oncoming traffic on Sunday, Utah Highway Patrol said.

Anderson crashed head-on with a truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

US-6 at milepost 143 was closed for several hours as officials investigated the area.

Anderson is suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol.

No other injuries were reported.
